Vernon Ward (1905-1985), a pair of oils, one depicting a maid sewing a patchwork quilt and the other a maid waiting to enter a room with a breakfast tray, oil on board, each 28cms x 24cms.
Provenance: Vernon Ward was a friend of a member of the artist's extended family and exhibited at his gallery. Vernon Ward's own family employed maids and this pair of genre paintings depicts them going about their duties.
